Omega MAX high security fence runs along an elevated pedestrian walkway.

The King Highline Bridge connects Liberty Village and King Street West in Toronto’s west end. It forms a key link within the larger King High Line development, supporting Toronto’s goal of creating connected public spaces. The bridge provides safe passage for pedestrians and cyclists across the Georgetown rail corridor. Lined with Omega MAX high security fence, the bridge offers panoramic city views and a direct route between two busy neighbourhoods.

A durable security fence system was critical to the bridge’s design. The project required a barrier to protect pedestrians from the adjacent rail line without blocking the panoramic view. The design team selected Omega MAX high-security fence to meet these goals.

Omega MAX combines modern aesthetics with high performance. Each fence panel offers strength and rigidity while maintaining open sightlines. The welded steel mesh design is intended to prevent cutting and also resist climbing, making it ideal for a high-traffic public area such as this.

A modern security fence that enhances both safety and visual appeal.

Omega MAX high-security fence complements the bridge’s contemporary architecture. Every element of the system reflects careful engineering and design integration.

A flat-panel profile gives the fence a clean, continuous appearance along the bridge. It’s minimal form supports a sleek, urban look. Architectural-grade powder coating protects the fence panels against corrosion and weathering, reducing maintenance needs. The finish blends naturally with the bridge’s steel framework and surrounding landscape.

Durability, security, and performance define the Omega MAX system. The fence provides long-lasting protection while maintaining the bridge’s open, welcoming character. It stands as a model of how a high-security fence can combine functionality with refined design. Together, these qualities make the King Highline Bridge a safe, attractive, and enduring part of Toronto’s urban landscape.
