Scotiabank North Tower is a 14-storey flagship workplace that reimagines the corporate environment through openness, adaptability, and material refinement. The building unites diverse business divisions within a single cohesive setting. Defined by natural light and warm finishes, interconnected spaces encourage interaction and support employee comfort. A landscaped terrace extends the workplace outdoors, featuring modular raised planting beds that enhance its visual and spatial appeal.

Since completion, Scotiabank North has been recognized with a 2025 ARIDO Award and shortlisted for the 2024 SBID International Design Awards. Flexible workspaces, amenity areas, and a hospitality-driven approach foster engagement and productivity.

Outdoor terrace and modular raised planting beds

The Bay Adelaide Centre’s North Tower terrace landscaping includes raised planting beds that introduce greenery, define seating areas, and frame views. Customized Join Modular planters and edging systems were built to exact specifications by Green Theory.

Comprised of 5052 marine-grade aluminum, the Join System offers durability, clean lines, and versatility for elevated terraces. It’s designed specifically for customization – components bolt together to create large site-specific planting beds. Two Join Modular planters at Scotiabank North have integrated ipe hardwood slatted screens that visually complement illuminated ipe benches and decking on-site. A matte black finish on the planters provides the perfect backdrop for lush green plantings.
